Nigel Stewart’s talent as a musician is probably best summed up by international producer Quincy Jones who remarked after hearing him perform - ‘one of the best pianists I’ve ever heard - incredibly versatile’.
He took up piano at the age of six and went on to gain music scholarships into Stowe Public School and the Royal Academy of Music studying piano and organ.
His particular flair and interest is improvisation, which led him to explore far beyond his classical training after leaving college. He took a direction that allowed the freedom to be creative in both live performance and studio work in a wide range of situations.
He is equally at home playing at high profile corporate events and fashionable parties, as he is playing at any special occasion.

Special Occasions
Private parties require a sensitivity and understanding of how important these occasions are for people. They are often parties to celebrate significant dates that want to be remembered forever. Everything should be perfect - including the entertainment.
Weddings are one of the biggest days of a person’s life and take a lot of hard work and effort to guarantee that everything goes to plan. Nigel Stewart has played at many weddings - for the fanfare entrance; providing background music to the dinner; and music to dance to as the festivities carry on. Drawing on his experience helps to guarantee this day is memorable.
Birthdays and anniversaries require a versatile pianist to cater for the variety of guests. Recognising that a 21st birthday may require a different approach to that of a Golden Anniversary, Nigel is able to shape and provide suitable music and entertainment.
As well as working solo, he also has access to a number of singers, drummers and bass players delivering anything from jazzy blues to rock and pop or cabaret when a larger show is required.

This distinctive act draws on the piano bar tradition but has a contemporary twist. It requires the audience to make selections from the broad-ranging jukebox song list, anything from Bette Midler to Misfits, Ella to Goldfrapp. The dedicated requests are then performed by the pianist Nigel Stewart and a Human Jukebox vocalist.
